This week, we have been working on some Valentine themed activities.  Ask your child about the pictures below.

We have started a unit about Love; Loving ourselves, Loving Others, and Loving the Land.

So far, we have talked about physical traits we love about ourselves, and positive affirmations about who we are.  The children are learning to use "kid spelling" when recording.  They are hearing and recording the sounds they hear in words which is evident in the example below. "tes" (teeth) and "happy" (happy)

We have been working on number pairs that make 5.  Today, we used different coloured hearts to represent this understanding.  Next week, we will work on writing the different combinations used "eg un rojo, 4 rosados" (one red, four pinks)
